About Me
My name is Jonathan Collett. I received my Bachelors in History from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa in 2013 and my Masters from Auburn University Montgomery in 2017. In order to gain experience in my field, I volunteered with the Alabama Department of Archives and History where I taught 4th graders Alabama history. I also worked as a Tour Guide at Old Alabama Town, a local living history museum in Montgomery, Alabama. Through connections I made at Old Alabama Town, I became an instructor at Concordia College Alabama in Selma. There I enjoyed teaching both World History and United States History. After the closure of Concordia College, I moved on to teaching at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School. While at Catholic, I taught United States History, as well as Geography and Public Speaking. I am looking forward to a great year as both an educator and a historian.
